Our Safety/Security Committee wants to keep everyone safe.

For our evening services at the Paramount Theatre

1. Everyone will enter through the Broadway entrance.

2. There will be Oakland PD Officers patrolling in the area on foot and in a car.
   In addition the Paramount Theatre has their own security.

3. We will follow the Paramount bag policy outlined below.

Permitted Bags at Paramount Theatre

• Bags measuring 18” x 12” x 12” or smaller

• Bags with required medical items or equipment within the permitted bag size

• Diaper bags (1 per child) within the permitted bag size

• Bag must fit and be stored under your seat

• Bags cannot take up a seat or cause an obstruction

• All bags are subject to search

Prohibited Bags at Paramount Theatre

• Bags larger than 18” x 12” x 12”

• Briefcases or any hard-sided bag

• Luggage of any kind

• Camera Bags

For daytime services at Temple Sinai

1. Everyone will enter through the Webster St doors.

2. The Oakland PD will be performing extra drive bys in the area throughout the evening.

3. As a precaution, do not leave anything in your car. 

4. We have scheduled extra security guards on the premises.

5. Please introduce yourselves as Temple Sinai members and say your names.

6. If you have guests meet them outside and escort them inside.

7. Please do #4 & #5 at all future events at Temple Sinai.

8. Our bag policy will be similar to the Paramount. Please do not bring unnecessary items as they may be searched.

9. Please do not leave anything visible in your car. We suggest that you do not put items in your trunk once you arrive at any venue as you are letting thieves know you have valuables.
