As we gather for the 2024/5785 High Holy Days at Temple Sinai, your safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. We have enhanced security measures to ensure a peaceful and sacred experience for everyone:

  • Entry: Please enter through the Webster Street entrance, where you’ll pass through our weapon detection system and present your nametag which will also serve as your entry ticket for all services. We encourage you to keep your nametag visible at all times while at Temple Sinai. Lanyards will be provided.

  • Security Checks: To ensure everyone’s safety, attendees and bags may be searched. Uniformed guards will patrol the area.

  • Bag Policy: Please only bring essential items. Bags need to fit under your seat or on your lap in the Sanctuary. Bags may be subject to search. If you bring an umbrella, please hold it while passing through security to avoid triggering the weapon detection system. We will provide a plastic bag for wet umbrellas, and umbrellas can be stored under your seat with your belongings. No firearms or fixed-blade knives are permitted on Temple Sinai grounds.

  • Exit & Re-entry: You will exit the Sanctuary through the 28th Street doors, with re-entry only through the Webster St. doors. A security officer will be stationed outside the 28th Street doors to assist you.

  • Weapon Detection System: Our state-of-the-art detection system, also used at the Paramount Theater and Giants games, allows most people to walk through without stopping. It identifies weapons, knife blades, and explosives. If a suspicious item is detected, additional screening will be required.

Please do not leave anything visible in your car. We suggest that you do not put items in your trunk once you arrive at any venue as you are letting thieves know you have valuables.
